Giambattista Valli blends Parisian haute couture with the vibrant essence of Morocco in his Spring 2025 collection.
Giambattista Valli takes his haute couture vision to Morocco for the Spring 2025 collection, merging Parisian elegance with the vibrant Moroccan culture. During his show, which took place on the night of January 27, the designer showcased a series of garments that seemed to capture the essence of Marrakech’s landscapes and the country’s artisanal traditions. With a palette of vivid colours and lush textures, Valli dazzled with regal caftans in shimmering jacquards, puffball skirts, and layered silk chiffon dresses, evoking the lightness of the Moroccan breeze.

The moodboard for the collection was inspired by the tranquil beauty of the Menara Gardens in Marrakech, the bohemian influence of Talitha Getty in the 1960s, and the intricate decor of palatial riads. Valli harnessed the haute couture techniques of Paris to interpret Morocco’s rich culture with unmatched precision.

The event also marked a moment of innovation, as it witnessed the first appearance of Megan Thee Stallion on a haute couture runway, captivating in a draped sherbet orange dress. In summary, Giambattista Valli’s Spring 2025 collection celebrated the fusion of two worlds with a modern and refined perspective, perfect for contemporary haute couture.
