Amanda Seyfried reveals Paramount has yet to pay her royalties for the use of her image on Mean Girls merchandise.

Amanda Seyfried, the 39-year-old actress best known for her role in Mean Girls (2004), has voiced her frustration with Paramount Pictures for failing to pay her royalties for the use of her likeness on official film merchandise.

Speaking during a Variety Actors on Actors interview with Adam Brody, Amanda said:
“I love seeing my face on people’s T-shirts. But I’m a little resentful because Paramount still owes me money. All these stores sell Mean Girls shirts with our faces on them. Maybe it’s because I was 17 and stupid?”

Although she admitted she hasn’t rewatched the film, she shared that she still loves it and enjoys the lasting cultural impact it has. She even recalled a recent encounter with a TSA agent who told her:
“Mean Girls, my favourite movie!”

While Amanda made headlines back in April for her comments about former co-star Lindsay Lohan, this time her focus is on fair compensation for her iconic place in pop culture.

Her remarks have sparked conversation among fans and within the industry about actors’ rights and payments related to classic film merchandise.
