The Italian house unveils the second chapter of its collaboration with Vans, reinterpreting the iconic Slip-On through the creative language of Alessandro Michele.

Valentino Garavani continues to deepen its dialogue with urban culture and presents the second instalment of its collaboration with Vans, developed as part of the Cruise 2026 collection. Following the first release in September 2025, the partnership returns with a new series of Classic Slip-On designs that fuse Californian skate DNA with the Italian maison’s maximalist imagination under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele.

The chosen model is once again the Vans Classic Slip-On, a silhouette launched in 1977 that has since become one of the most recognisable designs in footwear history. Remaining true to its original spirit — defined by comfort, simplicity and functionality — this new edition preserves the classic construction while introducing Valentino’s graphic codes, elevating the sneaker into a hybrid space between luxury and pop culture.

The collection comprises six unisex styles, each distinguished by a different visual treatment. Two standout versions of the VLogo Checkerboard appear in black with red accents and black with pink details, reinterpreting Vans’ historic checkerboard through a more refined, fashion-forward lens. These are joined by a variation featuring an enlarged VLogo pattern, delivering a bolder graphic impact.

The visual vocabulary expands further with a Tropical Leaves print, adding a playful, summery narrative, alongside the return of Le Chat de la Maison, a motif introduced in the first collaboration that has become one of the most recognisable symbols within Michele’s universe. New for Cruise 2026, the Cherryfic pattern makes its debut, injecting an ironic and decorative touch into the lineup.

All styles feature co-branded insoles, reinforcing the dialogue between the two houses, and are presented in special packaging that reimagines Vans’ classic checkerboard with Valentino’s VLogo Signature, extending the aesthetic experience beyond the sneaker itself.

The Valentino Garavani x Vans Cruise 2026 sneakers will be available from 15 January on Valentino.com, in Valentino boutiques worldwide, on Vans.com, and at the Vans flagship store in Paris. With this second chapter, the collaboration reaffirms its position as one of the strongest intersections between contemporary luxury and street culture, proving once again that the Slip-On remains a perfect canvas for creative reinvention.
