Maison Chopard joins the International Day of Happiness with new Happy Hearts necklaces and the participation of Bella Hadid.
Every 20 March, the world celebrates the International Day of Happiness, a global initiative that recognises happiness as a universal aspiration. For many years, the Swiss maison Chopard has embraced this special date, reaffirming its commitment to spreading joy through creativity, beauty and craftsmanship. In 2026, the brand marks the occasion once again with new pieces from its iconic Happy Hearts collection, accompanied by the participation of Bella Hadid, one of the most influential figures in contemporary fashion.
For this occasion, Chopard introduces new Happy Hearts tie necklaces, a contemporary reinterpretation of a classic design inspired by the return of Art Deco glamour. The pieces are crafted in 18-carat ethical gold, available in both white gold and rose gold, reflecting the maison’s commitment to responsible and refined jewellery making.

Each necklace features a sliding heart motif, which may be set with diamonds or adorned with pink mother-of-pearl, creating a delicate and luminous aesthetic. The design also incorporates a discreet push-button adjustment system, allowing the piece to be easily adapted in length. At the ends of the chain, two small gold hearts contain moving diamonds, an iconic signature of the house that creates a dynamic sparkle as the jewel moves with its wearer.

These creations continue the legacy of Happy Diamonds, the innovative concept introduced by Chopard in 1976, which transformed jewellery design by allowing diamonds to move freely between two sapphire crystals. Since then, the idea has become one of the maison’s most recognisable signatures, symbolising freedom, fluidity of movement and joie de vivre.
This year’s celebration carries an even deeper meaning as Chopard commemorates the 50th anniversary of Happy Diamonds, a story defined by innovation, creative boldness and an optimistic vision of jewellery. The new Happy Hearts pieces therefore serve as a contemporary tribute to that enduring legacy.
As part of this global celebration, Chopard boutiques around the world organise special experiences designed to share the spirit of the day. From striking floral decorations to creative workshops, the maison invites visitors to take part in a symbolic chain of happiness that extends beyond the boutique doors.
