Selena Gomez opts for black leather for a dinner in Los Angeles as she adds new television, film and music projects to her agenda.
Selena Gomez has once again turned a night out into a style statement. The actress, singer and Rare Beauty founder was spotted in Los Angeles this week after enjoying dinner at San Vicente Bungalows, where she embraced one of the materials set to remain firmly in the spotlight for the new season: black leather.
At 34, the star opted for a head-to-toe leather look built around two pieces that proved dressing entirely in black does not have to feel predictable. The Only Murders in the Building actress paired a cropped black leather top with a skirt crafted from the same material, albeit in a slightly different shade that added depth and contrast to the outfit.
To complete the ensemble, Gomez chose classic black court shoes, maintaining an elegant and minimalist aesthetic. The unexpected element came courtesy of her pink-tinted sunglasses, an accessory that broke up the monochrome palette and introduced a subtle pop of colour to the finished look.
The outfit also demonstrates the versatility of the black leather look, taking the material beyond its traditionally rock-inspired associations. On this occasion, clean lines, restrained accessories and a combination of different finishes transformed leather into a sophisticated option for evening dressing.
The appearance comes after the singer’s recent trip to Italy with her husband, Benny Blanco. Over the past few months, the couple have balanced their personal life with new musical projects and recently worked together again on Te Olvido (La La), a track that also features Becky G.
Her professional schedule shows no signs of slowing down either. Gomez will return to one of her most recognisable roles for the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building, with the show’s next adventure moving the action to London and also introducing a change to the production’s title.
Film will be equally important in the next stage of her career. The star lends her voice to the animated film Not Alone alongside Timothée Chalamet, which is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 16 April 2027.
