Ralph Lauren presents his Spring 2027 collection with oversized trousers, womenswear tailoring, artisanal fabrics and a contemporary interpretation of romance.
Ralph Lauren once again proves that romance does not have to be defined solely by delicate dresses, sheer fabrics or conventional silhouettes. For Spring 2027, the American designer proposes a far more personal interpretation of elegance, blending historical references, tailoring, utilitarian pieces and sophisticated artisanal treatments.

Navy and white dominate a collection in which proportion takes on particular importance. Trousers emerge as one of the key pieces, appearing predominantly in generous volumes. One of the most distinctive silhouettes sits slightly low on the waist and features side buttons running from mid-calf to the hem.
The interplay of contrasts continues as these trousers are paired with fitted jackets and waistcoats with elongated tails. Even classic seersucker moves away from its traditionally relaxed character, transformed into a dramatically proportioned suit that brings a theatrical quality to the runway.
Romantic references appear in less obvious ways. A structured cotton shirt featuring corsetry and lacing, worn with white trousers, revisits the codes of the corset without turning them into an exercise in nostalgia.

Ralph Lauren also deliberately brings luxury and functionality together. A workwear-inspired denim jacket is trimmed with white feathers, while distressed jeans are styled alongside considerably more refined pieces. A short blue jacket with a shearling collar adds texture, while a brocade waistcoat is paired with a voluminous-sleeved shirt and a wide necktie.
The latter also serves as a nod to the designer’s beginnings: it was neckties that helped launch Ralph Lauren’s career nearly six decades ago.
Womenswear tailoring moves between softer construction and considerably sharper structure. A white leather jacket features intricate smocking across the back, while two trouser suits reference the first tailored design Lauren created for women. To achieve their particularly defined structure, the looks were produced at an Italian facility specialising in menswear.
Eveningwear introduces a new set of possibilities. A fluid wrap dress is constructed almost entirely from a single seam, while a navy micro-sequin dress gradually transforms into fringe and is worn over trousers. Elsewhere, an embroidered velvet robe is layered over a white blouse and floral jeans treated with gesso paint.
Materials are, in fact, among the defining elements of Ralph Lauren Spring 2027. An intricate weaving technique reduces the weight of an ombré shearling waistcoat, while different laundering processes give full-skirted dresses a deliberately rumpled finish.
Hand-painted techniques, distressed effects and treatments applied to silk lamé and velvet create surfaces with an aged appearance. Even the sequins are manipulated to soften their traditional shine, reinforcing the collection’s pursuit of a less perfect and more personal form of sophistication.
The accessories maintain the same balance. Low-heeled shoes feature brocade fabrics and ribbon details, while the familiar Ralph Bag is reinterpreted in a variety of new versions.
