Jimmy Choo marks its 30th anniversary with Pearls of Wisdom, a special capsule transforming pearls into shoes, bags and jewellery designed to celebrate the house’s past and future.

Jimmy Choo is celebrating three decades of glamour with a collection that looks back at its heritage while setting the tone for its next chapter. Founded in 1996, the house marks its 30th anniversary with Pearls of Wisdom, a capsule collection created by Sandra Choi that places one of its most enduring signatures at the heart of the celebration: the pearl.

Rather than treating the anniversary as a retrospective exercise, Choi has chosen to reinterpret an element deeply connected to the brand’s visual language. Pearls appear throughout the collection in different scales, finishes and constructions, transforming shoes, bags and jewellery into pieces that balance classic elegance with the glamorous attitude that has defined Jimmy Choo for three decades.

For the creative director, the pearl possesses a “quiet, enduring power”, an idea that becomes the starting point for the entire capsule. Traditionally associated with refinement and longevity, here it is exaggerated, multiplied and combined with crystals and metallic finishes to give it a distinctly contemporary character.

Among the standout designs is the Ithaca wedge, where three resin pearls sit beneath a sculptural gold heel. The unexpected placement transforms them into part of the shoe’s architecture, creating the illusion that the silhouette is delicately balanced above the decorative spheres.

The Irina sandal takes a more opulent approach. Clusters of pearls and crystals cascade across the foot like jewellery, blurring the boundaries between footwear and ornamentation. It is an idea that perfectly captures the spirit of the collection: accessories are no longer simply complemented by jewellery, but become jewellery themselves.

A more playful interpretation appears on the Ingrid flat, which reworks the traditional Oxford silhouette through a trompe-l’oeil pearl buckle. The contrast between a classic, traditionally structured shoe and an intentionally decorative detail reflects Jimmy Choo’s ability to play with familiar fashion codes without losing its sense of sophistication.

Baroque references become even more visible across the Ines family, offered as a pump, mule and flat. Oversized corsage details bring volume and drama to each silhouette, reinforcing the theatrical quality running through the anniversary collection.

The celebration extends beyond footwear. Jimmy Choo bags receive the same pearl-focused treatment, with cascading strands decorating the Tube Mini Bag and the Raindrops minaudière. Meanwhile, the Cloud clutch looks directly to the natural origins of pearls, drawing inspiration from oyster shells and translating their organic curves into golden waves.
