Tom Holland is opening up about the less favorable reviews of his Apple TV+ series, “The Crowded Room”.
The series has garnered a mere 31% rating on Rotten Tomatoes since its debut, and in a new interview, the 27-year-old actor discussed the reaction to the show.
While appearing in an on-camera interview with Unilad, Tom was candid about the criticisms and turned it into something that both critics and fans can take from the series regardless of whether they liked it or not.
“It’s no secret that my show has been so terribly criticized,” he said, “the message of the show, which can address various issues, is that seeking help should be celebrated in our society. It’s an act of bravery,” he added. Tom emphasized that recognizing the need for help is what most people should focus on.
“If we can somehow empower people to say, ‘I don’t feel well, I really need help,’ then we have achieved our goal.”
Emmy Rossum, who portrays his mother on-screen, also addressed the negative reaction to playing his mother despite a small age difference between them.
