LANVIN opens the doors today to its new flagship boutique at 855 Madison Avenue, in the Upper East Side of New York City.

Developed by Bernard Dubois Architects, this concept and design introduce a bold new retail architecture for the oldest continually-operating French couture house, providing a majestic context for the exuberance and elegance of LANVIN today.

Bernard Dubois is widely recognized for his rigorous neo-modernist aesthetic and controlled sense of drama. In establishing the architectural and interior language for LANVIN, Dubois drew inspiration from the Neoclassical and Art Deco movements, both integral to the house’s heritage.

Elements of classical architecture, such as enfilades, symmetries, columns, and architraves, are carefully interpreted throughout the space. Ornamentation is spare and precise. Furniture and custom fixtures comprise Dubois’ own designs and a selection of objects from the house archive and exclusive design galleries. Materials like oxidized and hammered brass, limestone, marmorino, and beige velvet create a rich array of textures in a subdued tonal palette.

The concept echoes the works of architects Auguste Perret and Eckart Muthesius, delivering a singular sophistication to the physical and intangible dimensions of space.

The new LANVIN flagship store on Madison Avenue will house women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, accessories, footwear, and LANVIN Lab. Additionally, a private salon dedicated to formal and occasion dressing will debut, along with the upcoming autumn introduction of Edition Soir, a new perennial collection dedicated to cocktail and evening attire, the stylistic backbone of the maison.

Over the next year, LANVIN will expand its retail operations with boutique openings in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza, and Bal Harbour Shops, Florida.
