The highly anticipated clothing line by Kylie Jenner, “Khy,” is just around the corner, poised to deliver a polished and luxurious ambiance.
Kylie Jenner has officially announced her clothing line with a simple caption on an Instagram photo: “Meet Khy.” The reality star and beauty mogul shared an image of herself wearing a leather coat from her upcoming collection. The newly launched website showcases an elegant black coat with a high collar, a cinched waist, and broad shoulders. The caption reads, “Coming soon. Sign up at khy.com“ While an official release date has not been announced yet, users can register for “early access” on the website.
It’s not surprising that Jenner is venturing into the world of fashion, given that her sisters already have successful businesses in this industry. Kim Kardashian has Skims, her shapewear and loungewear brand, while Khloé Kardashian has Good American, specializing in denim. In July, it was reported that Jenner was working on a fashion line with Emma and Jens Grede, who also collaborate with Kim, Khloé, and their mother Kris in their ventures. The idea is to offer something of higher quality and not follow the business model of Shein, the controversial and popular Chinese fast-fashion brand.
Jenner already has experience in running a successful business, as we can recall from her brand, Kylie Cosmetics, which launched in 2014 and made her a billionaire. Furthermore, in 2012, she and her sister Kendall Jenner created Kendall and Kylie, a label aimed at a younger audience, which has since become a sub-brand of PacSun.
Based on initial impressions, Khy appears to have a polished and luxurious style, reminiscent of Balenciaga or Bottega Veneta garments. However, it’s too early to fully determine the collection’s aesthetic based on just one coat (unless Jenner shares more photos soon). If we had to guess, based on Jenner’s recent street style, we might expect form-fitting dresses, minimalist blazers, and sheer prints. We’ll find out soon enough.
