Metallic, translucent, and gel! What more could you ask for? The Brazilian footwear brand Melissa has just announced its latest collaboration with Marc Jacobs, launching three new styles in summer-ready shades.
Diving into our affinity for metallics, the new collection features three new silhouettes in metallic tones of gold, silver, and “Wisteria,” along with translucent iterations. With the Becky Platforms, Melissa Mules, and Ruby Ballet Flats, the new capsule focuses on a reinvention of classic silhouettes for a contemporary audience.
Taking inspiration from Marc Jacobs’ ready-to-wear clothing line, the collection explores monogram prints, metallic finishes, and distinctive shapes, all reimagined through Melissa’s lens. Made with recyclable vegan materials, the shoes feature Melissa’s signature transparent plastic on the upper.
This new collaboration is not the first time Melissa and Marc Jacobs have joined forces, following a previous launch in the summer of 2023 that included a series of collaborative clogs and sandals in various shades. For Melissa, this collaboration continues a line of fashion partnerships, including Telfar, Jean Paul Gaultier, Y/Project, and UNDERCOVER.
