Apple TV+ will premiere ‘Disclaimer’, a psychological thriller directed by Alfonso Cuarón, starring Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, on October 11.
Apple TV+ has unveiled a sneak peek of its upcoming limited series ‘Disclaimer’, announcing its worldwide debut for October 11, 2024. This seven-episode psychological thriller, based on Renée Knight’s bestselling novel, promises to captivate audiences with its intricate narrative and stellar cast. The series will launch with two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Friday until November 15, 2024.
‘Disclaimer’ features Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, under the direction of five-time Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, who also penned the adaptation. The plot revolves around acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett), known for exposing the secrets and misdeeds of others. Her life takes a dark turn when she receives a novel from an anonymous author, revealing she is the protagonist of a story that exposes her deepest secrets.
As Catherine delves into the mystery of the book’s origin, she must confront her past, risking the unraveling of her personal life and relationships with her husband Robert (portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen) and her son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). The series also stars Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Hoyeon.
Produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, “Disclaimer” boasts a production team including Gabriela Rodriguez and David Levine as executive producers alongside Cuarón. The visual narrative is elevated by Academy Award-winning cinematographers Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel, who also serve as executive producers.
