Gigi Hadid stars in the new Dilara x Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign, inspired by Avril Lavigne with short skirts and band tees.
Heaven by Marc Jacobs has once again delivered an impressive collaboration, this time with London-based designer Dilara Findikoglu. The campaign, titled ‘Grunge Girl Summer,’ features an unrecognizable Gigi Hadid wearing pieces inspired by Avril Lavigne’s style, including short skirts and band t-shirts.

Photographed by Alana O’Herlihy and styled by Danielle Emerson, the campaign showcases Hadid in a range of outfits reflecting Findikoglu’s school nostalgia. “When I created this collection, I was thinking about my high school years, where I listened to Avril Lavigne, Runaways, Bikini Kill, Girlschool, and sought my identity through Marc Jacobs’ blue metallic platforms, Gothic lolita dresses, and band tees,” Findikoglu says in a press release.

The collection includes a skirt inspired by her Topshop skirt from high school, which was so short that teachers called her mother to have it thrown out. “The corset print is a surrealist interpretation of Marie Antoinette’s feast, illustrated by Sophie McElligott. This small wardrobe is truly the dream of my teenage self, and I want these pieces to be dream items for all the girls now,” Findikoglu adds.
