Ryan Guzmán has joined the thriller ‘Midnight’ alongside Rosario Dawson, Alexandra Shipp, and Milla Jovovich in a key role that remains undisclosed.

Ryan Guzmán, known for his role in the series 9-1-1, has been confirmed as the newest member of the action thriller ‘Midnight,’ a collaboration between Yale Productions and Night Fox Entertainment. Although his role is still under wraps, it is described as “fundamental” to the plot.

The cast includes Rosario Dawson, Alexandra Shipp, and Milla Jovovich, who are also involved in the production. Dawson not only stars in the film but also serves as a producer alongside Shipp and Jovovich, who are executive producers. The movie, directed by Joshua Otis Miller, recently wrapped filming in Connecticut.

‘Midnight,’ written by Lamont Magee and Jeff Byrd, follows the story of a blind young woman (Shipp) who is pursued by a group of international criminals led by Jovovich. The criminals are after a package they believe was given to the young woman by her sister, a federal agent played by Dawson. Despite her blindness, the young woman proves to be more dangerous than the attackers anticipated.

The production is coordinated by Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions, along with Dawson and Leah Elizabeth Rucinski, and Timothy Christian and Rab Butler of Night Fox Entertainment. Michael Day is also a co-producer. The executive producers include a wide range of names, including Sean Krajewski, Ronnie Exley, and Jeremy Rothstein, among others.

Meanwhile, Guzmán continues to portray Eddie Díaz in 9-1-1, a series that has been airing since its second season and follows the lives of first responders in Los Angeles. In film, he recently appeared in ‘The Present,’ alongside Isla Fisher and Greg Kinnear.
