Piaget celebrates its 150th anniversary by renaming its iconic Black Tie watch as the Andy Warhol, paying homage to the artist’s relationship with the brand.
To culminate its 150th anniversary, Piaget has renamed its iconic Black Tie watch as the Andy Warhol, a model that pays tribute to the celebrated pop artist and his close relationship with the brand. Under an exclusive license with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Piaget has finally officially linked Warhol’s name to this distinctive style that he wore and that marked his avant-garde aesthetic.

Warhol, recognized as a key member of the “Piaget Society,” owned seven of the brand’s watches, including the remarkable Black Tie with Beta21 movement, which he acquired in 1973. This watch is now part of Piaget’s private collection, recalling the friendship that united the artist with Yves Piaget, leader of the fourth generation of the Maison.
To commemorate the occasion, Piaget has released an updated version of the 1972 design, called the Andy Warhol Clou de Paris, with a deep blue meteorite dial and a gadroon pattern on the case. This edition is offered through a personalization service, allowing collectors to select from a variety of ornamental dials, strap options and high-end materials. Benjamin Comar, CEO of Piaget, highlighted the honor of continuing Warhol’s legacy, reaffirming the historical relationship between the artist and the Maison.
