Ami Paris becomes the main sponsor of the Cannes Festival, supporting young filmmakers with its Grand Prize.

Ami Paris, the renowned fashion brand founded by Alexandre Mattiussi, has been named the main sponsor of the Cannes Critics’ Week. Starting from the 64th edition, the section dedicated to discovering new cinematic talent will award the Ami Paris Grand Prize to its winning film.

Mattiussi expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, emphasizing the importance of the award in boosting the careers of young filmmakers. “It is an honor to support emerging directors and be part of their journey in the industry,” he commented.

In addition to the sponsorship, Ami Paris will host a special dinner for filmmakers during the festival and open a wardrobe suite at the Hotel Majestic for the red carpet. In recent years, the brand has dressed stars such as Viola Davis and Diane Kruger at Cannes.

Mattiussi, who has also ventured into film production, sees this partnership as a long-term collaboration. “This is not just sponsorship; it is a celebration of cinema and emerging talent,” he stated.

The 2025 Critics’ Week will take place from May 14 to 21, with the official selection of films to be announced in April.
