With palpable excitement in his voice, Miguel shares details about his recently debuted leading role in ‘Sierra Madre,’ an original series on Max promising to take him to new heights in his acting career. “With ‘Sierra Madre,’ a stage of greater acting maturity begins for me,” Miguel reveals. “I believe that over the years, I have grown a lot as a person, and I also think that is reflected in the different projects I have been involved in lately.”
But the excitement doesn’t stop there. Miguel also immerses us in the intriguing world of “Las Azules,” an Apple TV series addressing a theme never before explored in Mexican fiction: the formation of the country’s first female police force. “It’s a story that has never been approached in fiction in Mexico,” Miguel explains enthusiastically. “And I have the great privilege of portraying the character of Captain Romandía, who trains these women as the first police officers.”
Miguel not only chooses his projects based on the excitement of the moment but also seeks versatility and originality in the roles he portrays. “I really like changing characters, diversifying their origins a lot, not pigeonholing myself into a single stereotype but rather expanding the range of interpretation of each of the roles I play,” he shares.
His experience in the Mexican film industry has been impressive, marked by unforgettable roles in successful films such as “Tiempo Compartido,” for which he received the prestigious Ariel Award from the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences. “It was a watershed moment in my career,” confesses Miguel. “It gives me confidence and a lot of motivation to keep moving forward and keep growing, and to know that the path I have chosen has been the right one.”
