Hollywood drama unfolds! Blake Lively has broken her silence, filing a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, her co-star in ‘It Ends With Us’, alleging misconduct on set.
Actress Blake Lively, best known for her role in ‘Gossip Girl’, has sued her co-star and director of ‘It Ends With Us’, Justin Baldoni, claiming that his on-set behaviour caused her “severe emotional distress”. According to TMZ, the lawsuit details allegations of sexual harassment and other inappropriate conduct during the filming of the movie, which is based on Colleen Hoover’s novel.
The legal filing outlines incidents including the display of explicit images, inappropriate conversations, and insensitive remarks about Lively’s weight and her late father. The actress also alleged that Baldoni added sexual scenes not included in the original script she had approved.
In response, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freeman, described Lively’s allegations as “false, outrageous, and intentionally defamatory,” claiming the lawsuit aims to improve her reputation. Freeman also asserted that Lively threatened to boycott the set and refuse to promote the film, allegedly impacting its release.
Despite the controversy, ‘It Ends With Us’ was a commercial success, grossing $350 million at the box office. However, the tension between Lively and Baldoni has cast doubt on any future collaborations. Neither has publicly commented on the matter, though Baldoni hinted he won’t direct the film’s potential sequel.
