The iconic rapper confirmed that the viral smash hits WAP’ (featuring Megan Thee Stallion) and ‘Up will be included on the album. Fans have long called for these tracks to be part of a full-length project, and Cardi has finally delivered.

“My fans are always looking for those songs on my debut album. It was time to give them a proper home,” she wrote on her X account (formerly Twitter).

While some critics questioned the inclusion of previously released singles, Cardi didn’t hold back: “This doesn’t affect my first-week sales, so why complain? I’m giving my fans exactly what they asked for.”

She also addressed the fact that ‘WAP’ was never submitted for Grammy consideration, explaining that past criticism influenced her decision. However, she’s no longer allowing negative commentary to dictate her creative choices.

In addition to familiar hits, Cardi B unveiled a brand-new track titled ‘Outside’ on 20 June, which she premiered during a Spotify event at Cannes Lions. The song, inspired by a moment of personal anger, is already being hailed as a potential anthem.

“I made it a few months ago when I was really upset. I had to rewrite some parts because I was too mad,” she shared in her Instagram stories.

Speaking live on X Spaces, Cardi gave fans a preview of what to expect from Am I the Drama’?, revealing that there will be a few collaborations—but not many.

“Some of the artists I’ve worked with before, and some are new. But what I can say is that this album brings a completely different vibe. I’m 100% confident in what I’m delivering,” she said.

Fans are also hoping that the album will include other fan-favourite singles such as:

  • Money (2018)
  • Press (2019)
  • Finesse (2016)
  • Bongos (2023)
  • Enough (2024)

Although the full tracklist has yet to be confirmed, anticipation is running high.

Since her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy in 2018, Cardi B has cemented her status as one of the most influential voices in hip hop. Her upcoming sophomore album promises not only chart-topping hits, but also a bold step forward in her artistic evolution.
