Sephora appoints Catherine Spindler as President of Europe and the Middle East, highlighting her leadership and international retail experience.

Sephora has announced the appointment of Catherine Spindler as President of its operations in Europe and the Middle East, a role she will officially assume on January 27. Spindler, a renowned executive with extensive international experience in omnichannel retail, will join Sephora’s global leadership team and report directly to Guillaume Motte, President and CEO of the LVMH-owned company.

With a distinguished career at companies like Lacoste, Vente-Privée, and the Rocher Group, Spindler arrives with the goal of driving sustained growth for Sephora in the region. In recent years, the brand has achieved over 20% annual growth, solidifying its leadership position in the luxury beauty sector.

“Catherine’s challenge will be to continue elevating the customer experience and strengthening brand loyalty across all touchpoints,” said Motte in an internal statement.

Spindler will succeed Sylvie Moreau and lead strategic initiatives, including the renovation and expansion of stores. In 2023, Sephora opened 15 new locations in Europe, including the reopening of its flagship store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

A graduate of EDHEC Business School, Spindler began her career at LVMH, at Guerlain, and now returns to the group to lead one of its key divisions.
