David and Victoria Beckham Celebrate 25 Years of Marriage by Recreating Their Iconic Purple Outfits, Showing Their Love Is as Strong as Ever.

Few celebrities handle married life like Victoria and David Beckham. From the Netflix documentary aptly titled ‘Beckham,’ which tells their love story, to the opulent collection of 15 different engagement rings, they are an iconic couple.

Last week, the Beckhams celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in the only way they know how—by recreating their legendary wedding outfits from decades ago. For those who need a reminder, the couple chose not to follow traditional attire for their Dublin nuptials and opted for monochromatic purple ensembles for the reception.

“I’m trying to remember when I decided to wear a purple suit, and I don’t know when that happened,” David says in the documentary. “I think I just followed Victoria’s lead, but what were we thinking?” The former Spice Girl responded humorously, “But it was fun. We didn’t care what people would say. We just wanted to express ourselves; that’s who we were.”

The Outfits in Question…

Regarding the outfits themselves, the bride wore a one-shoulder dress designed by Antonio Berardi, setting aside the luxurious Vera Wang gown she wore hours earlier. The fitted dress was adorned with large floral appliqués in various shades of purple along the strap.

Meanwhile, the former footballer donned a double-breasted suit in the same bold purple hue as his wife’s dress. His peaked lapel was also decorated with floral designs, making them a monochromatic couple made in heaven.

The Beckhams Now…

Two and a half decades later, the Beckhams pulled their purple outfits from the archives to celebrate 25 years of marriage and look as good as they did back then, if not better. The couple posed with two velvet chairs like true royalty, while other photos showed them frolicking on the lawn as they did years ago.

A luxury fashion brand and several children later, much has changed since the Beckhams got married. But one thing is certain: the couple remains as strong as ever. Now that’s what you call goals!
