Guests attending the Dsquared2 Spring ready-to-wear 2024 show, #D2naughty, witnessed a scene that didn’t go unnoticed.
An attic overlooking Miami Beach, where porn star Rocco Siffredi was “pretending” to shoot a pornographic film starring Julia Fox, “having fun” with an unidentified couple on a four-poster bed “hidden” by a folding screen. This “image” served as the backdrop for the runway.
Those familiar with the Caten twins know about their irrepressible naughty and playful streak, but they outdid themselves here. “The elites meet the snob. Snob meets the scruff.”
The collection was a barely-there interpretation of the Catens’ mash-ups, reduced to minimal body coverage. However, the humor made the obscenity of the show scandalously entertaining. After an endless parade of tennis-golf apparel hybrids with plenty of exposed underwear and a series of barely-there minidresses, each more provocative than the last, Julia Fox emerged wearing a “virginal white” lace doll dress, complete with frills and ruches.
But the exaggerated pièce de résistance came at the end, with Rocco Siffredi striding onto the runway and opening his blue jacket to reveal a red T-shirt emblazoned with the acronym V.I.P. (Very Important Penis).
