The partnership between Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban redefines the iconic Aviator sunglasses through two new models that fuse heritage with contemporary design.

Fashion once again looks to the past to shape the future. As the iconic Aviator sunglasses approach their 90th anniversary, Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban unveil a collaboration that reinterprets one of the most recognisable designs in eyewear history. Rather than a simple reissue, the project introduces a renewed vision that merges Ray-Ban’s technical legacy with the refined aesthetic of the Italian house.

The collection is built around two key models: Shooter and Outdoorsman II, each offering a distinct approach while remaining connected to the original silhouette. In the case of the Shooter, the reinterpretation draws from archival elements, transformed through unexpected details. A mother-of-pearl brow bar adds a richer visual dimension, while an integrated structural element introduces functionality and references classic design codes.

The slim, lightweight metal frame preserves the essence of the Aviator, while creating a near rimless effect by slightly separating the lenses from the structure. The signature teardrop lenses appear in a vibrant colour palette, including orange, pink, green, blue and yellow. The result is a design that respects the original while updating it through colour and refined detailing.

The Outdoorsman II, by contrast, embraces a more graphic aesthetic. Its pronounced brow bar defines the upper frame with a strong horizontal line, adding character to the design. Despite its bolder visual presence, the construction remains lightweight, ensuring balance between form and comfort.

The lenses for this model are available in both mirrored and transparent finishes, expanding its versatility. The colour range includes blue, powder pink, beige, brown and green, reinforcing the collection’s adaptability. Across both models, the Ray-Ban and Dolce & Gabbana logos are integrated into the lenses, strengthening the dual identity of the collaboration.

Beyond the eyewear itself, the collection is completed with a functional accessory that enhances the overall experience. Each model comes with a leather case designed as both a practical and aesthetic piece, featuring a strap and a gold-tone metal hook, allowing it to be worn as part of the look.

The campaign, photographed by Gray Sorrenti, supports the launch with a direct and controlled visual language, placing the focus on design and attitude. This approach highlights a key idea within contemporary fashion: icons are not simply replicated, but recontextualised.

With this collaboration, Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban not only celebrate the legacy of the Aviator, but project it towards a new generation — proving that even the most classic designs can evolve without losing their identity.
