Dua Lipa redefines airport style with boldness, sporting a striking Gucci bag and elegant yet relaxed combinations.

This week, Dua Lipa strutted her Hermès Birkin through JFK Airport, a rite of passage for any weary traveler. Just off the plane, the singer shed literal weight by swapping her bulky carry-on for a smaller handbag.

Dua traded her black Birkin for a silver Gucci Horsebit, a long, metallic purse with a chain shoulder strap, though she opted to loop her hand through the iconic horse ornament, carrying it as a clutch instead.

The bag proved to be one of the boldest pieces in Dua’s ensemble. The “Illusion” songstress kept the rest of her outfit on the neutral side. She wore a ribbed gray sleeveless top and a darker gray maxi skirt with a thigh-high slit, revealing a pair of sheer black stockings. She paired this with knee-high black leather boots from Bottega Veneta. Dua bundled up with an open denim jacket featuring an asymmetric lapel and contrast stitching.

Highlighting her flashy bag, Lipa added some lively accessories to her grayscale look. She sported a pair of black rectangular sunglasses with blue lenses and a series of silver earrings, including a large hoop holding several smaller ones.

The ensemble appears to be a casual take on her Radical Optimism style, focusing on leather and hardware. But with her denim jacket, maxi skirt, and ‘It’ bag, Dua Lipa declares that she can pay homage to her new album without having to wear tight leather garments and harnesses every day.
