Continuing the interior design theme from last season, Reed reimagines vintage fabrics like lace tablecloths, damask curtains, and antique upholstery. Vintage Point de Venise lace pieces are transformed into a curved-sleeve jacket and a bias-cut skirt, while a 19th-century French curtain panel adorns a crinoline dress. Details from a 19th-century French silk damask with gold cherub designs are used in a corseted jacket, and pale blue 19th-century silk panels are reimagined in a corseted jacket with wide sleeves.
The collection’s silhouettes stand out with their exaggerated hips and cinched waists, complemented by structured lapels and sculptural collars, creating architectural shapes that contrast with the fluidity of generous skirts and delicate fabrics.
