Harry Styles releases a vibrator under his brand Pleasing, selling out within hours after a clever Morse code campaign.
Harry Styles hasn’t released a new album in three years, but that hasn’t stopped him from surprising fans. This time, it’s through his lifestyle brand Pleasing, founded in 2021 with a gender-neutral aesthetic, which now ventures into the world of sexual wellness with two products designed to “put pleasure exactly where it belongs: in your hands (or theirs).”
On 22 July, a series of cryptic Instagram posts — including a glass of milk, messages in Morse code, and a woman listening behind a door — set the stage for the big reveal: Pleasing’s double-headed vibrator and a high-end silicone lubricant. The official launch came on 25 July, under the tagline “Pleasing Yourself” — a bold invitation to reconnect with one’s body and desire, free from shame.
Developed in collaboration with sex educator Zoë Ligon, the vibrator features two independent motors, seven intensity settings, is waterproof, and USB rechargeable. “Compact, powerful, versatile, and easy to clean,” as its co-creator describes it. Price: $68. The result? Sold out within hours — just like the lubricant, priced at $25.
While some fans expressed disappointment over the lack of new music, others celebrated it as a bold act of sexual liberation. The marketing strategy — a mix of provocation, mystery, and sensory storytelling — was undoubtedly one of the most original launches of the year.
