Jonathan Bailey makes his musical debut in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, performing a clarinet solo that marks a deeply personal milestone.

Jonathan Bailey has fulfilled a lifelong dream in the most unexpected way. While promoting ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, the Bridgerton star revealed on The Tonight Show that he plays a clarinet solo in the film’s score — a deeply personal moment he calls “the highlight of my career.”

During a break from performing Richard II in London, Bailey was invited by director Gareth Edwards to observe the recording of Alexandre Desplat’s new score at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. With Desplat blending original themes by John Williams, Bailey was so inspired that he asked if he could bring along his childhood clarinet.

“I just wanted to play one note — even a slightly sharp one — because it would’ve been a dream come true,” he shared. That dream became reality when Desplat offered him the chance to perform the theme for Dr Loomis, the character Bailey plays in the film.

In a touching full-circle moment, Bailey recalled receiving his first clarinet from his grandfather in 1993 — the same year Jurassic Park was released. “It was incredibly emotional,” he said. “Sometimes, life finds a way.”
