Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Homme, has been awarded the prestigious French Legion of Honour, recognising his impact on fashion and innovative work.
The British designer, who leads Dior’s menswear division, has been named a Knight of the Legion of Honour, France’s highest distinction. The ceremony took place in Paris following the unveiling of Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.
Kim Jones, who took the helm of Dior’s menswear line in 2018, has been celebrated for his ability to blend classic tailoring with modern elements, revitalising the brand’s masculine aesthetic. His contributions have been pivotal to Dior’s growth, which recorded an estimated €9.4 billion in sales in 2023, according to HSBC.
Prior to his tenure at Dior, Jones held prominent roles at Fendi and Louis Vuitton, where he served as artistic director for menswear. In 2020, Queen Elizabeth II appointed him as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

In a recent interview, Jones expressed his gratitude for the honour, highlighting the importance of sustainability and the evolution of men’s fashion. He also underscored the significance of menswear-focused shows, which allow for the full breadth of creative expression. This accolade further cements Jones’s influence in the fashion industry and his contributions to the prestige of the houses he has led.
