Lewis Hamilton and Dior unveil a bold and sustainable capsule, inspired by ‘Afrofuturism’ and a deep connection to African culture and art.
Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula 1 champion and global style icon, once again surprises with his latest capsule for Dior, set to hit stores on 3 July. Inspired by a transformative journey across Africa, with stops in Morocco, Senegal, Mozambique, Benin and Madagascar, the British driver found in ‘Afrofuturism‘ the perfect lens to express a vibrant and personal vision of fashion.
“I heard so many incredible stories that inspired me to imagine the future of Black culture”, says Hamilton, who worked closely with Dior’s ateliers to create a unique fusion of motorsport energy and refined French craftsmanship.

The collection stands out with leopard-print tweed, a nod to the maison’s historical archives, featured in wide, dynamic pieces. Hamilton’s distinctive style shines through in every design: from retro-inspired sleeveless jackets to bucket hats and rugged boots. Accessories made from recycled materials and technical details highlight the project’s strong sustainability focus.

For Hamilton, this collection goes beyond fashion: “Style is such a powerful way of expressing who you are”. With this release, Dior and the driver celebrate identity, innovation and cultural heritage through a lens that is as daring as it is sophisticated.
