McQueen introduces its Pre-Collection SS26, an ode to the darker, more polished side of the British spirit.
The new Pre-Collection SS26 from McQueen arrives with a proposal that blends sharpened romanticism, a touch of controlled rebellion and the elegance that defines the British house. The brand once again demonstrates why its aesthetic remains relevant: by balancing tradition and modernity through pieces that reinterpret historical codes with a contemporary, intentionally charged gaze.
This season, romanticism takes an unexpected twist with embroideries reminiscent of shattered chandeliers on black silk, creating a contrast that amplifies the brand’s signature sense of drama. Precision-cut tailoring, heir to the legacy of Savile Row, appears fitted to the body, offering structure, power and sensuality — reaffirming the identity of a house that understands tailoring as an act of character. The iconic McQueen tartan returns, reimagined with asymmetric lines and an avant-garde energy, while the eternal skull motif resurfaces as a nod to loyal followers, printed across silk scarves and dresses that embrace fluid movement.

The collection also looks back into the archive to revive the Manta bag, originally launched in 2010 and now redesigned with new proportions, adjustable geometries and a more flexible texture that propels it towards a futuristic mood without losing its sculptural essence. The British universe is further reinforced through outerwear pieces that evoke a sophisticated countryside aesthetic: waxed jackets, gabardine car coats and moulded leather — each shaped with the house’s unmistakable silhouette, always firm, always recognisable.
Shimmer and shine dominate the visual story thanks to jewellery inspired by crystal lamps cut into fringe-like structures that add drama to every movement. Once again, the skull symbol appears in silver, anchoring an aesthetic language that has long become part of McQueen’s cultural DNA.
The campaign, photographed by Sammy Khoury, places the models in an elegant escape towards a grand British manor, surrounded by open fields and imposing architecture that reinforces the narrative tone of the collection. The staging heightens a sense of freedom, hedonism and mystery — as though the viewer were entering a lost chapter of an aristocratic drama.
The Pre-Collection SS26 from McQueen confirms that the house continues to evolve without abandoning its identity. An intense, emotional and magnetic proposal that cements the British brand as one of the leading voices in contemporary fashion.
