Meghan Markle reveals how her three-year-old daughter, Lilibet, is finding her voice and empowering herself from an early age.
During her recent visit to Colombia, Meghan Markle shared some heartfelt words about her daughter, Lilibet, who at just three years old is already beginning to find her voice. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, participated in the panel ‘Afro-Descendant Women and Power: The Voice of Equity’ in Cali, where she was accompanied by Prince Harry, who supported her from the audience.
In her speech, Meghan emphasized the importance of being a role model for her daughter, fostering self-expression and self-confidence from an early age. “I believe that part of what I try to do as a mother is to encourage our daughter,” Meghan said. “And at three years old, she has already found her voice.”
The Duchess highlighted how this kind of support can have a ripple effect, empowering more girls and young women to use their voices and be heard. “In this way, we create a different environment from the one many of us grew up in, where our voices were expected to be smaller.”
Finally, Meghan reflected on the impact this type of upbringing can have in transforming the environment, where each person can become the best version of themselves. “By raising them this way, we are changing the conditions and the environment, creating space for everyone to be the best version of themselves.”
