Miley Cyrus, at 31 years old, becomes the youngest Disney Legend in history at the D23 Expo.
Miley Cyrus, known for her iconic role in ‘Hannah Montana,’ has been named a Disney Legend at the D23 Expo, becoming the youngest person ever to receive this honor. The singer, who also won her first Grammy this year, was celebrated in an emotional ceremony.
Guest artist Lainey Wilson performed ‘The Best of Both Worlds’ in honor of Cyrus, thanking her for her courage in breaking the mold and staying true to herself. Visibly moved, Cyrus shared with the audience: “It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no failure when you try.”
Reflecting on her beginnings in 2005, Miley humorously remarked how she and Bob Iger were hired to revitalize Disney. She also dedicated the award to Hannah Montana and her loyal fans, quoting the show’s song: ‘This is the life.’
At 31, Cyrus joins a prestigious list of Disney Legends that includes stars like Stan Lee and Oprah Winfrey. Her legacy, which began with ‘Hannah Montana’ and expanded with hits like ‘Wrecking Ball,’ is now officially part of Disney history.
