MKDT Studio, under the direction of Caroline Engelgaar, presents its collection following the ‘Office Core’ line, redefining tailoring with modern, fluid silhouettes.

MKDT Studio, formerly known as Mark Kenly Domino Tan, has undergone a rebranding, a change that had been anticipated since the brand’s founder parted ways with his eponymous label in 2022. However, this new name doesn’t signify a radical shift, but rather the consolidation of the vision set by creative director Caroline Engelgaar, who took the reins after Tan’s departure.

In its presentation at Copenhagen Fashion Week, the collection is characterised by strong and sleek silhouettes, following the ‘Office Core’ aesthetic, with marked shoulders that convey a sense of empowerment, blurring traditional gender lines. Engelgaar introduces a unisex proposal, with key pieces such as tailored jackets designed to offer versatility and elegance.

The narrow-waisted jackets with pleats and fitted sleeves challenge traditional tailoring, creating a modern, fluid aesthetic that prioritises wearability and sartorial attitude. “Women are always strong in our mindset,” Engelgaar points out, emphasising that the collection’s aim is to empower and offer options for all genders, without compromising sophistication. With a focus on strength and adaptability, MKDT Studio positions itself as a leading reference of power and style in contemporary fashion.
