Netflix reveals first images from ‘One Piece’ season 2, announces 2026 premiere and confirms early renewal for a third season.

Netflix has thrilled fans with the first look at the highly anticipated second season of One Piece, its live-action adaptation of the iconic manga and anime. The preview, revealed during the One Piece Day event in Tokyo, introduces characters such as Laboon, Smoker and Nico Robin/Miss All Sunday, alongside new locations and battles that promise to raise the stakes.

The upcoming season, titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, is set for release in 2026 and will follow Luffy and the Straw Hat crew as they venture into the legendary Grand Line – a mythical stretch of sea where danger and wonder go hand in hand. Along the way, they will face more formidable enemies and embark on the most perilous quests yet in their hunt for the world’s greatest treasure.

Netflix has also confirmed an early renewal for a third season, with production beginning later this year in Cape Town, South Africa, and Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner.

The main cast – Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar – will reprise their roles as Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji respectively. Taz Skylar, who recently graced the cover of Xmag, continues to cement his international profile as one of today’s most promising talents.
