KENZO unveils its SS25 campaign in Rio de Janeiro, where Nigo blends Japanese heritage with Brazilian energy.

Nigo, KENZO’s creative director, takes us to the heart of Rio de Janeiro in the Spring/Summer 2025 campaign. The images, captured by Johnny Dufort and Frank Lebon, portray the vibrancy of the Brazilian city through its people, streets, and sun-drenched beaches. Each frame seems to dance to the rhythm of samba, merging KENZO’s heritage with Brazilian culture.

The campaign highlights garments featuring tropical prints, lightweight fabrics, and flowing silhouettes, reflecting Brazil’s joy and cultural diversity. Nigo has incorporated traditional Japanese elements, such as reinterpreted kimonos and bamboo motifs, creating a unique synergy between the two cultures.

The campaign celebrates the values of freedom and unity reflected in the collection’s design. Just like the streets of Rio, full of diversity and energy, KENZO’s pieces invite movement, dance, and self-expression. Nigo continues to build international bridges between his native Japan and cultures across the world, offering a fresh perspective that embraces the beauty of global diversity.
