Rihanna breaks RIAA records, becoming the female artist with the most Diamond-certified singles and titles.
The Barbadian singer and entrepreneur, Rihanna, has reached two significant milestones in her music career, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With these achievements, Rihanna continues to establish herself as one of the most influential and successful artists in the music industry.
Rihanna and Roc Nation announced on social media that the 36-year-old artist and entrepreneur now holds the records for the most Diamond-certified singles and the most Diamond-certified titles for a female artist. Currently, Rihanna has a total of seven Diamond certifications after her songs “Work,” “Needed Me,” “Umbrella” featuring JAY-Z, and “Stay” were certified Diamond by the RIAA in late May, while “Diamonds” received the certification in April.
In addition to Rihanna’s new Diamond plaques, the songs “Love On The Brain,” “Sex With Me,” “Hate That I Love You” featuring Ne-Yo, “S&M,” “FourFiveSeconds,” “Loud,” “Shut Up and Drive,” “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and “Cockiness (Love It)” were all certified from Platinum to 11-times Platinum.
