The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection ‘No Distance Left to Run’ reflects resilience in the face of northern winters, blending creativity, functionality, and endurance.

The Autumn/Winter 2025 collection, ‘No Distance Left to Run’ by designer Rolf Ekroth, reflects resilience, not only in the face of the endless northern winters but also in the creative process itself. During the dark months of the year, when the sun disappears for weeks or even months, people seek ways to survive, becoming involuntary sun worshippers. Running, always therapeutic for the creator of this line, is one such method, even though it hasn’t been possible this year. The collection captures this theme of constant survival, like a race against time.

This season marks the perfect moment to evolve key pieces from past collections, starting with outerwear. Coats and jackets have been reimagined with zig-zag cuts and patterns that evoke the worn-out aesthetic of sportswear, while also referencing the sun worship that defines life in the north. A standout piece, the sleeping bag dress, embodies the survivalist theme, merging creativity with functionality.

Track pants are another focal point, with over 15 variations crafted from just two base patterns. The collection explores an unexpected mix of fabrics, including padded nylons, boiled wools, and shirting cottons, offering new opportunities for layering and combinations. Additionally, hand-painted watercolor patterns reflect the polar night and the longing for light, adding a personal and imaginative touch to the collection.
