David and Victoria Beckham’s son takes his first leading film role in an international cast, blending sport, romance and personal growth.

Romeo Beckham is ready to open an exciting new chapter in his career. After establishing himself as one of fashion’s most recognisable young faces through campaigns for some of the world’s leading luxury houses, the son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham is making his move into cinema with ‘Forty Love’, a feature film that marks his acting debut and has already generated considerable anticipation following the release of its first official images.

Directed by acclaimed fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, who makes his feature directorial debut with the project, the film uses the world of professional tennis as a backdrop to explore much deeper themes surrounding identity, ambition and human emotion. Produced by Chi-Fou-Mi Productions and co-produced by Studiocanal, which will also handle the film’s international distribution, ‘Forty Love’ promises to combine visual sophistication with an emotionally driven narrative.

In the film, Romeo Beckham stars alongside Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin and the legendary Catherine Deneuve, bringing together emerging French talent with some of the country’s most respected performers. The soundtrack, composed by 070 Shake and Johan Lenox, further reinforces the production’s contemporary atmosphere.

The story follows Sacha Gallo, a rising tennis prodigy who has devoted his entire life to winning one of Paris’ most prestigious tournaments under the demanding guidance of his father. However, the arrival of a charismatic new rival, played by Romeo Beckham, forces him to question everything he believes about competition, success and his own future. What begins as an intense sporting rivalry gradually evolves into a moving exploration of love, desire and the life-changing choices that define adulthood.

Before stepping in front of the camera as an actor, Romeo Beckham had already built an impressive reputation within the fashion industry, collaborating with luxury labels including Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. His sophisticated image and contemporary style quickly established him as one of the most closely watched young figures in international fashion, experience that now translates naturally to the screen in a film driven by striking visual storytelling.

Producer Hugo Sélignac, whose filmography includes several acclaimed contemporary French productions, has described ‘Forty Love’ as an emotional romantic fable capable of combining the intensity of elite sport with the vulnerability of first love. He also praised Pierre-Ange Carlotti’s ability to bring the delicacy, emotion and visual strength that have long defined his photography into the language of cinema.

With its theatrical release in France scheduled for 25 November, ‘Forty Love’ represents far more than a first acting role for Romeo Beckham. It signals the beginning of a new creative direction, positioning him as a rising talent determined to build an identity beyond his famous surname while expanding his career from the worlds of fashion into international cinema.
