Celebrity sensation Sabrina Carpenter returns with her second fragrance, Sweet Tooth: Caramel Dream, showcasing her growing prowess as a perfumer.
In an exclusive reveal by WWD, actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter is making aromatic waves with her second fragrance, “Sweet Tooth: Caramel Dream,” following her debut success last year. This delectable perfume is set to launch on walmart.com and TalkShopLive, with broader availability hitting stores on September 7, including Walmart and other mass-market retailers. The price range, from $10 for the body spray to $29.99 for the eau de parfum, caters to various preferences and budgets.
The original scent, “Sweet Tooth,” saw rapid growth in the U.S. market, described as “a roaring start” by Steve Mormoris, CEO of Scent Beauty. The anticipated follow-up fragrance, developed by Firmenich perfumer Gil Clavien, combines notes of caramelized amber, dark chocolate, sugared lemon, and more. Carpenter explained that “Caramel Dream” embodies a refined essence, perfect for autumn, likening it to the sophisticated older sibling of “Sweet Tooth.”

Carpenter, who has found fragrance creation as personal as her songwriting, disclosed her learning curve in considering wear time, scent progression, coloring, and bottle aesthetics. While neither Carpenter nor Mormoris divulged specific sales figures, industry experts predict “Sweet Tooth: Caramel Dream” could achieve $10 million in first-year retail sales, doubling the brand’s prior performance.
Mormoris highlighted the fragrance’s broad appeal, transcending gender preferences. He noted the shift in fragrance distribution over the past five years, attributing the resurgence of mass-market success to retailers like Walmart championing high-quality products at accessible prices.
Brand storytelling emerged as a key driver, exemplified by Carpenter’s involvement in the launch campaign. This strategy, coupled with enhanced consumer education through e-commerce platforms and in-store testers, has solidified the fragrance’s immersive consumer experience.
