Shakira transforms into a mermaid for the music video of ‘Copa Vacia’ alongside Manuel Turizo

Shakira enchants Manuel Turizo dressed as a mermaid in the music video for their new single “Copa Vacia.”

The 46-year-old pop icon of “She Wolf” channels The Little Mermaid, becoming a charming sea creature rescued from the ocean by collaborator Manuel Turizo in the video, which was released this Thursday.

At the beginning of the video, Shakira is trapped on the shore amidst a pile of trash.

Manuel pulls her out of the sea in a net and takes her home where she lies down in a fish tank. Then, the pair share some steamy moments in front of a waterfall.

With her pink hair and stunning tail, Shakira surprises in every frame!

“You’re always busy with so many businesses,” she sings to a distant lover in the track, according to a translation provided by Variety. “Put down your phone, use your hands with me / I know you’re hot but I’m hotter. I’ve been thirsty for you for a while, I don’t know why.”

Fans will likely remember seeing photos of the hitmakers filming certain scenes of the music video earlier this year.

Its release comes shortly after Shakira broke 14 Guinness World Records with the release of her collaboration with Bizarrap, “Music Sessions Vol. 53.”
