Swarovski launches ReCreated Crystals, its most sustainable crystals, made from recycled materials and designed to reduce their environmental impact.

Swarovski has taken a significant step towards sustainability with the launch of ReCreated Crystals, its most eco-friendly crystals to date. These innovative crystals are made from leftover fragments from the production process, which are melted down again to create new colours and products of identical quality to the original.

Thanks to this process, Swarovski reduces the use of natural resources by 40% and lowers the environmental footprint by at least 34%. The initiative is not only part of the B2B business but also integrated into jewellery collections aimed at the end consumer (B2C), demonstrating the brand’s commitment to more sustainable practices.

New shades of ReCreated Crystals will be launched annually. The recent Dark Jonquil colour, a vibrant yellow, will be available to business partners this autumn and will brighten new jewellery collections from spring 2025.

Stephan Mechnig, Head of Sustainability at Swarovski, emphasised that this innovation is a key step towards circularity and reducing environmental impact. With over 6,600 points of sale in 150 countries, Swarovski continues to lead with creativity and responsibility in its commitment to a more sustainable future.
