Sydney Sweeney and Stephen Kalyn share a romantic kiss in New York while filming ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’, the highly anticipated sequel to the thriller ‘The Housemaid’.
Sydney Sweeney is once again making headlines in the film industry. The 29-year-old American actress has been photographed kissing Stephen Kalyn in the heart of New York City, although the images were captured during filming for ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’, the highly anticipated sequel to the psychological thriller released in 2025.
The photographs, taken on Friday, 30 October, show the actors sharing a romantic scene on a busy New York street. In one of the moments captured, Stephen Kalyn gently caresses Sydney Sweeney’s face before kissing her, while other images show the pair walking hand in hand.
For the scene, the ‘Euphoria’ star wore a casual outfit consisting of a beige workwear jacket, a red, white and purple checked shirt, high-waisted, wide-leg blue jeans and black leather boots. She completed the look with a dark brown leather crossbody bag.

Meanwhile, Stephen Kalyn wore a dark green tweed suit, a lilac shirt, a patterned burgundy tie and brown leather shoes, creating an elegant contrast with Sweeney’s relaxed outfit.
Although the photographs have sparked curiosity, the kiss was purely part of the fictional storyline. Away from the cameras, Sydney Sweeney is in a relationship with Scooter Braun, who, according to previous reports, visited the actress on the film’s set in mid-October.
In ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’, Sweeney will reprise her role as Millie Calloway, the character she portrayed in the first instalment, ‘The Housemaid’. The new film will continue to explore the secrets, dangerous relationships and unexpected twists that define this suspenseful story.
The plot follows Millie as she accepts a job as a housekeeper for a woman she is forbidden from seeing. However, her curiosity leads her to discover what lies behind a locked door, confronting secrets even darker than her own.
The cast will also see the return of Michele Morrone as Enzo, alongside new additions Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, Paul Anthony Kelly and Stephen Kalyn.
In recent days, Sweeney has also been photographed filming action sequences on the streets of New York and sharing scenes with Kirsten Dunst.
The sequel, produced by Lionsgate, is scheduled for a theatrical release on 17 December 2027.
