The artist’s latest album debuts with an astounding 2.61 million album-equivalent units in its first week, including 1.914 million album sales from over 20 different album iterations, 683,000 album-equivalent streaming units, and 14,000 track-equivalent album units. “The Tortured Poets Department” gives Swift her 14th No. 1, tying her with JAY-Z for the most No. 1 hits among solo artists. To top it off, the record is the best-selling album of 2024 so far and sets a new record for the largest streaming week for any album in history.
