The8 of SEVENTEEN has been named a Louis Vuitton ambassador, strengthening the bond between K-pop and high-end fashion.

Xu Minghao, better known as The8 from the group SEVENTEEN, has been announced as the new ambassador for the iconic luxury brand Louis Vuitton. The news was made official on 19 April, coinciding with the launch of the art exhibition Painting From Nature, where the idol appears walking among abstract yellow-toned canvases while wearing an impeccable outfit by the French fashion house.

This new role marks a milestone in The8’s career, having already collaborated with Louis Vuitton in the past, including his involvement in the musical production for the Men’s Autumn/Winter 2025 runway show. His connection with the brand has grown steadily, thanks to his avant-garde style and artistic sensibility—qualities that now place him alongside other K-pop figures who also represent the maison, such as BLACKPINK’s Lisa, BTS’s J-Hope, and Stray KidsFelix.

Although Louis Vuitton has yet to release official campaign images, the singer posted a series of photos on his Instagram account three days ago with the hashtags #VisionaryJourneys and #LouisVuitton, sparking speculation about possible upcoming visual collaborations. No further details have been revealed so far.

With this appointment, The8 not only raises his individual profile but also reaffirms K-pop’s presence in the global luxury sphere.
