Louis Vuitton welcomes Tyshawn Jones as a “Friend of the House,” blending skateboarding, fashion, and urban culture.
Louis Vuitton has taken another step in its commitment to diversity and the fusion of disciplines by bringing Tyshawn Jones on board as its newest “Friend of the House.” Globally recognised for his influence in skateboarding, Jones, a New York native, has stood out not only for his skills on the board but also for his unmistakable style, seamlessly connecting the worlds of sport and urban fashion.
This collaboration comes under the direction of Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director for menswear, who personally invited Jones to attend the Autumn/Winter 2025 show. This event marked the beginning of a partnership that highlights the skater’s impact on streetwear and his deep connection to skate culture, which continues to inspire the brand’s designs.
The legacy of Virgil Abloh, who also fostered a strong relationship with the skateboarding community, remains alive under Pharrell’s leadership. Tyshawn Jones’ inclusion in this project symbolises a continuation of that vision, expanding Louis Vuitton’s reach to new generations while maintaining its commitment to high fashion and cultural innovation. This is just the beginning of what promises to be a dynamic and transformative collaboration.
