Inspired by the bohemian energy of Lavender Bay, Zimmermann unveils a Spring 2026 collection that celebrates freedom, colour and femininity.
Designer Nicky Zimmermann once again captivated Paris with a collection radiating joy, lightness and the carefree spirit of the Australian summer. For Spring 2026, she drew inspiration from the artists of Lavender Bay, a coastal enclave in Sydney famed in the 1970s for its creative energy, unforgettable parties and relaxed lifestyle.
The runway exuded a dreamy, psychedelic atmosphere where floral prints seemed to come alive on crinoline skirts with tulle bands, rainbow-dyed strapless dresses and ethereal blouses that floated effortlessly. “I wanted the florals to really move, to breathe air and freedom,” explained the Australian designer.

Although Zimmermann has long been synonymous with feminine dresses and vibrant prints, the brand continues to evolve into a full lifestyle label. Among the standout pieces were a white openwork shirt with a hand-stitched bird motif, earth-tone swimsuits reimagined as tops, and a sleek leather coat that added an urban, sophisticated touch.
Seventies influences were reinterpreted in feminine silhouettes: colour-blocked ensembles with retro pockets, utilitarian jackets with billowing sleeves and sculptural overalls featuring metallic accents.

Sitting front row was Lana Del Rey, a devoted admirer who once mentioned Zimmermann in a poem she recited during the show, accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Mimi Xu. “Lana sees femininity the same way we do: powerful, strong and beautiful all at once,” the designer remarked.
The result was a luminous, free-spirited and evocative collection — a poetic ode to summer happiness, where every garment feels like a verse from Del Rey herself. Because wearing Zimmermann remains the most elegant way to overcome any summertime sadness.
