Sam Heughan comments on rumours about his potential role as James Bond, highlighting his admiration for the character and his recent visit to a historic bar in Switzerland.

Sam Heughan, the Scottish actor known for his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander,’ was seen in New York on January 22, leaving the gym in a casual look consisting of a blue puffer jacket, sweatpants, and white sneakers.

In a recent interview, Heughan addressed rumours about his potential portrayal of the next James Bond. While he acknowledged that all British actors who have worn a suit are probably mentioned at some point for the role, Sam clarified that he hasn’t heard anything about it.

“Any British actor who’s worn a suit is probably mentioned at some point for the Bond role,” Heughan said. However, he admitted that after playing Jamie Fraser for eight seasons, he’s unsure about taking on another iconic character like Bond. “I don’t know if I’d go from one iconic character to another,” he added.

Despite this, Heughan expressed his admiration for the James Bond character and recalled a recent visit to a bar in Switzerland where Sean Connery filmed ‘Dr. No’ in 1962. “It was cool to see a bit of history,” said Heughan, who will soon star in the new thriller series ‘The Couple Next Door’ on Starz.
