Sarah Benady, former President of Celine in North America, will take over the leadership of Jacquemus as the brand undergoes global expansion and seeks investment.

The French maison Jacquemus has found its new Chief Executive Officer. According to market sources, Sarah Benady, currently President of Celine in North America, will assume the role left vacant following Bastien Daguzan’s departure in December 2023.

Benady has a well-established career in the luxury industry. Before leading Celine in North America for four years, she served as President of the French brand Ba&sh in the same region and played a key role at The Kooples, where she was International Director before becoming President. Her expertise in accessible luxury makes her a strategic asset for Simon Porte Jacquemus’s vision.

This appointment comes at a time of international expansion for Jacquemus, which has recently opened boutiques in London and New York. The brand aims to strengthen its direct-to-consumer strategy and has confirmed its intention to bring in a minority investor to support its retail growth and future entry into the beauty sector.

Since Daguzan’s departure, Simon Porte Jacquemus has been handling both creative direction and CEO duties. Benady’s arrival will allow the designer to focus on creativity while the company advances its ambitious expansion plans.
