Off-White closed its store on Mercer Street and will open a new location in SoHo with an art gallery concept.
The renowned urban fashion brand Off-White recently closed its store on Mercer Street in New York, following the expiration of its lease. The store, which had been operational since 2017, will be replaced by a new 4,200-square-foot store in the heart of SoHo, set to open in September of this year.
Joey Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance — the company that acquired Off-White in 2023 — explained that the former location was “off the commercial circuit” and that the new store will feature a more strategic location, although the exact address was not revealed for competitive reasons.
The new space will not only serve as a fashion store but also as a gallery, staying true to the original vision of founder Virgil Abloh, who launched the brand in 2013. This artistic concept seeks to merge art and fashion, offering visitors a unique experience.
Furthermore, Off-White continues its expansion with a second store in Miami and a third one scheduled to open in the Design District in October. Bluestar Alliance, which owns multiple brands such as Palm Angels and Elie Tahari, is betting on Off-White‘s continued growth within the global luxury urban fashion market.
