Jaden Smith makes his debut as Men’s Creative Director at Louboutin, redefining fashion with a fresh, bold and multidisciplinary vision.

Maison Christian Louboutin has appointed Jaden Smith as its first Men’s Creative Director, consolidating a relationship that has been nurtured over the years between the French designer and the multifaceted artist. The new role positions Smith as one of the leading voices in the Maison’s men’s universe, where he will oversee the design of four collections a year, spanning footwear, leather goods and accessories.

But his role will extend well beyond design: Smith will also spearhead campaigns, events and experiential initiatives aimed at weaving a new aesthetic and emotional narrative for the men’s line. The brand has highlighted his creative energy, his respect for Christian Louboutin’s legacy, and his ability to face the future with courage and cultural sensitivity.

Their bond was forged in Paris in 2019, when Louboutin and Smith began a conversation built on mutual admiration. Since then, they have maintained an ongoing creative dialogue, now culminating in a formal collaboration.

Smith steps into the role with a career that spans music, fashion, performance and activism. With nearly a decade of experience in footwear design projects — including previous collaborations with the Maison — his approach is guided by curiosity, boldness and a personal vision of style that challenges conventions. “His style and cultural sensitivity are deeply inspiring,” said Christian Louboutin, who expressed his excitement about shaping a new era for the men’s division alongside Smith.

For the artist, this step means more than a title. “Maison Christian Louboutin has always been a creative home for me,” he said, emphasising his wish to honour the brand’s legacy while staying true to his own vision of the future. He also acknowledged the example of joy and dedication that Louboutin represents on his journey.

From the executive board, Alexis Mourot, CEO of the Maison, noted that men’s products already account for nearly a quarter of the company’s total business, more than 15 years after their launch. Smith’s appointment strengthens this expanding line and brings fresh energy to the creative team.

The first capsule bearing Jaden Smith’s signature will be unveiled in January, with an exclusive avant-première in selected stores and on the Maison’s website. His full debut collection as Men’s Creative Director will arrive in January 2026, during Paris Fashion Week Menswear FW26.
